"Amazingly friendly people, they played with our child and made menu recommendations
for us that we were pleased to have taken -- especially the mango/flax smoothie!
Prices were surprisingly reasonable and we left feeling like had a good meal in
a little hide-away."

"I love this place. Husband and wife team authentic recipies. They just got their
liquor license too which makes it even better. You can't beat the prices as well
for DC... if you saw the Menu you'd think you were eating waaayy out of downtown.
It's quaint and quiet but full of charm. My wife and I have tried about 6-8 ethiopian
restaurants and this is the best on in town in my opinion."

"In a city that is known for Ethiopian food, the Queen of Sheba certainly rises
to the top with quality food at a low price. In addition to the standard dishes
there are options that I have not seen elsewhere. My personal favorite is the peanut
butter fit fit (as mentioned earlier, much tastier than it sounds). The service
can be slow but the wait staff are always incredibly nice."
-
"Compared to the multitude of local Ethiopian offerings, this humble hole-in-the-wall
stands out. Despite the lack of outdoor seating or live music, the friendly atmosphere
and attentive staff make for a pleasurable, quiet evening. The food is unapologetically
authentic, offering a variety of spice and flavor to the discerning palate. Imbibers
beware: Queen of Sheba's has yet to obtain a liquor license."
-
"The best Ethiopian food we've had in DC so far. The staff is friendly and there
is a good variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. We love the peanut butter dish."
-
"I've been coming here for years and have tried various authentic Ethiopian establishments
in San Diego, Washington DC, and New York. For me, Queen of Sheba is at the top
of the list."
